Scouts

Introduction to Scouts

1st Romsey Scouts for 10 ½ to 14 year olds in the Romsey area, you do not have to have been a Cub before. The Scout Leader is Phil, and he is supported by a small team including Mike and Tom.

We meet at The Doctor Peter Centre Friday evenings during term time. Anyone who is interested in joining, should use the “contact us” section.

We run a varied, enjoyable programme aimed at achieving various activity badges, developing interest in the world around us, making friends, and most of all having fun! We aim to offer one weekend camp during the summer term, plus occasional visits throughout the year.

Scout Leaders & Helpers:

New Members

New members are welcome – please use the joining contact button to send us your request. For safety purposes we will immediately require basic information, such as the address and ‘phone number of the parent or guardian. If the young person decides that Scouting is for him/her we’ll need a bit more detail – a form will be provided.

Initially those who have previously been Cub Scouts should wear their Cub uniform, others should simply wear clothing suitable for games and general activities.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
