Squirrels Scouts 4-5 year olds Started Volunteers needed!

Skills for Life

1st Romsey Scout Group exists to provide high-quality Scouting for all Young People between the ages of 4-17 years.

We are situated in the heart of the busy town centre of Romsey, Hampshire and attract young people from the many of the surrounding local villages.

Welcome to 1st Romsey Scout Group

Our aim is to promote the development of young people, so that they achieve their full potential. Scouting enables them to become responsible adults and members of their local, national and international communities.

The Scout Group is sectioned into  Squirrels who are 4-6 years of age, Beavers 6-8 years of age, Cubs 8-10 1/2 years of age and Scouts 10 1/2-14 years of age. Explorers, age 14-17, are arranged at District level, but a Unit meet in our H.Q.

We currently have one Squirrel Drey, one Beaver Colony, one Cub Pack and one Scout Troop. Meetings are weekly during school term time, with Beavers and Cubs on a Monday and Scouts on a Friday. Out of term time there are often camps and other activities.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
